Book Donation Information

 

We appreciate the community’s generosity and interest in supporting the library. At this time, we are able to accept select book donations on a limited basis. When considering donations, we prefer:

  • Hardback books

  • More recent titles

  • Books related to Oregon or the Pacific Northwest

Please note that we are selective about what we can add to our collection based on space and relevance. If you have books you’d like to donate, we encourage you to contact the library or speak with a volunteer before dropping them off.

Donate a Vehicle to Support the Library

Supporting the O’Brien Memorial Library is now easier than ever.

Through our partnership with the CARS Vehicle Donation Program, you can donate an unwanted vehicle and help keep our library thriving.

What You Can Donate

CARS accepts:

  • Cars and trucks (running or not)

  • RVs

  • Boats

  • Motorcycles

  • Even airplanes

How It Works

  • CARS handles everything, from pickup to paperwork

  • You’ll receive a receipt for a tax-deductible donation

  • The library receives 70% of the auction proceeds
